I have been nominated for the “Liebster Award” and “13 reasons why” tag. Thank you so much to two of my favorite bloggers and dear friends Sophia and Andrea for nominating me for these wonderful tags. I know my response is a little late but hopefully my post will make up for it.

Thirteen reasons why:

Rules:

  1. Mention the person who nominated you
  2. List 13 Reasons Why you keep going
  3. Nominate 10 people
  4. Display the picture

Here are the thirteen reasons which keep me going in life

My faith: Generally in life we all face many disappointments and failures and my struggle is the same. During this time we all want someone who fully understands us, loves us and can help us. I believe there is a divine existence and He is very close to us. My faith in Allah (SWT) has given me the courage to get through some of the darkest moments in my life.

My mum: She is my best friend. Do I need to say more?

Good Music: Music is an essential part of my life. I only enjoy good (original) music like Coke Studio Pakistan. Oh! They have produced some incredible tracks and my favorite ones from this season till now are Pareek and Faqeera.

Book Shopping: Randomly picking up any book on an unplanned trip to a book shop. The excitement I feel when I buy books and curiosity of how it will turn out. These are the kind of moments I live for.

Poetry: I think it is one of the most powerful form of art. As I am an emotionally driven person good poetry motivates me, empowers me and reminds me of my capabilities which have been drowned by my miseries.

Anday wala burger: Yes! It is indeed the king of all burgers (at least for me). There are these amazing burgers which have filling of chutney, Pakistani style kebab in them and the thing which sets them apart from other burgers is egg. That’s the reason why they are called anday wala burger (A burger with egg).

Imagination: If you regularly read my blog you probably already know that I have a far-fetched imagination. In my head, I still imagine myself to take an important public office one day and do revolutionary things

Of course small community of bloggers: All the amazing bloggers who have become my friends in such short period of time make me smile and encourage me to continue writing.

Old PTV Dramas: Old Urdu TV drama are my first love. I grew up watching those old series and they were the best part of my childhood. These series are hilarious, sensitive and relatable. I LOVE them.

Travel: I am always looking for an opportunity to travel with my friends or family. To be honest, I haven’t travelled much but I hope to do so in future.

Memes: I mean who doesn’t. Memes are this evolved form of comedy which I am completely obsessed with. They are funny. They are all over the social media. And it is one of those things in life that makes me feel that I am going to end up fine.

My nephew: Family. My family members are the most celebrated part of my life. However, I have been spending a lot of time with my seven year old nephew recently and I have realized that he is not just a kid but a source of joy and comfort in my life. I took this picture with him just a few days ago.IMG_1313.JPG

Oxygen: I know I need to get my priorities straight but baby this is who I am. Maybe, the reason why I still do not understand the value of oxygen in my life is because the government has not added any taxes on it yet.

All the jokes apart let’s work together for creating a greener planet.

You guys all look so adorable in that picture. Familial love just gives you that extra glow. P.s. the guy behind your nephew is photobombing wonderfully.
I love your reasons, and I hope they bring you whatever little joy and light you need through your days and I’m sure you’ll be making a change too (especially through your stories… and, I will make an appeal for a love story too because your Soraya and Shafi stories were so relatable) my feminist queen. ❤️
Extra p.s. that anday wala burger sounds delicious.

    1. Thank you for your kind compliments. Thank you for appreciating my stories. Thank you for your friendship.
Yes! I will try to write another story. Karachi can be a dangerous city but if you get an opportunity please come to visit this place. I will give you a food tour ( and we can discuss about feminism in detail too)

I had no idea that it was a dangerous city, you know. I will do if I get the opportunity and you will, I guess, have to be my tour guide for the day! We can eat the anday wala burger that I can’t stop thinking about and yes, girl power unite. 🙌🏼

    1. Thank you so much dear.
Unfortunately, I haven’t received the copy of “Happiness at last” yet. But I will inquire at the Post office and try to find out the reason behind the delay.
